The
conservation of our environment is essential for the
survival of the human species. This is especially true in
our island. Conscious of our environmental reality, PREPA
invests hundreds of thousands of dollars to comply with
environmental laws and ensure that our operations run in
harmony with Puerto Rico's natural resources.
Since its foundation, PREPA has understood our natural
resources to be a valuable asset that must be valued, cared
for and protected. Puerto Rico's quick transformation from
an agrarian to an industrial society caused a great impact
on the environment, but also increased our awareness of its
importance. That is why PREPA is committed to complying with
all environmental laws and regulations, both federal and
local, to preserve the essence of the natural beauty of our
island.
