The
Puerto Rico Electric Power
Authority (PREPA) is a public corporation
and government agency that was founded in 1941. Its mission
is to provide electric energy services to clients in the
most efficient, cost-effective and reliable manner in

PREPA is directed by a

of them represent the clients, who elect them both through
an election supervised by the Consumer Affairs Department.
